  • Thinking of switching to SourceHosting.net? See a demo!

Do you want to switch your team over to use SourceHosting.net, but barely have time to do the evaluation? Fast-track your transition by scheduling a live demo of the SourceHosting.net service today so you and your team can easily see its important features and benefits.

The demo will show how quick and easy it is to set up the service and access your remote repository. This means direct savings in time and effort for your development team - savings that can be spent elsewhere to ship your software product faster!

    Bugzilla upgrade in May

Over a couple of weekends in May, SourceHosting.net will upgrade its clients who are using Bugzilla 2.16. Bugzilla 2.20 has a large number of new features, including:

    • Scheduled email delivery of bug reports
    • Bugzilla queries delivered as an RSS feed
    • Time tracking

You can read the full set of Bugzilla 2.20 release notes on the Bugzilla web site.

Each account administrator will be notified by email prior to the upgrade. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

    Controlling repository access with CVSNT

Have you ever wished you could control access to various parts of your CVS repository? Well, now you can!

The CVSNT server is a free upgrade option that we can install into your repository. CVSNT adds several features over the basic CVS server, including access control lists (ACLs). ACLs are used to define what users and groups of users have which rights to the repository.

    Ask The Source
    Greg Larkin

    Q: Hi Greg,

Is there any way to receive email notification when a file is committed to our Subversion repository?

A: Yes, once your repository is configured with it, the svnnotify tool provides a highly- readable HTML-formatted email every time a file is committed.
