    Configuration management community web site

If you are interested in Configuration Management and want to learn more about it, participate in forums or perhaps find a job in the field, head over to CM Crossroads.

    Q: Hi Greg,

I accidentally checked in a directory of files to my Subversion repository. I know I can run the svn delete command on the directory, but that doesn't permanently remove it from the repository, just from my current working copy and future versions. Is there any way to get rid of it for good?

A: Yes, the svndumpfilter tool in combination with svnadmin dump and svnadmin load can do what you want.
