Hello, friends of
SourceHosting.net!
Here's a short quiz:
- Has your company outsourced any of your software development
to a 3rd party?
- Would you like more confidence that your company's
intellectual property is safe at all times?
- Do you want to ensure that your company's assets are
continually protected from theft and snooping?
If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, then read more
about SourceHosting's new partner, Chaperon,
LLC and our new joint capabilities below. Enjoy your summer, and
I'll be in touch again soon!

SourceHosting.net Upgrades to Subversion
1.5 |
 |
SourceHosting.net recently upgraded to Subversion 1.5, the
latest release of the popular revision control system.
Important new features, such as automatic merge tracking
and repository master/slave replication, increase the
usability of Subversion in larger, more complicated projects.
In particular, automatic merge tracking helps prevent
integration problems caused by repeated merging as software is
prepared for release.
All new SourceHosting.net accounts include Subversion 1.5,
and we will contact existing clients in the coming weeks to
arrange their repository upgrades. I have included a link
below to an excellent overview of Subversion 1.5 automatic
merge tracking that appears on JavaWorld.com. Enjoy!

Founder Achieves FreeBSD Project Committer
Status |
 |
Greg Larkin, founder of SourceHosting.net, recently became
a FreeBSD Project ports tree committer. After a vote by the
FreeBSD Core Team, this privilege is granted to developers who
have contributed extensive time and high-quality effort to
building the operating system and porting new software tools
to it.
"Since 2004, SourceHosting.net has depended on FreeBSD for
its entire infrastructure, due to its consistent design,
implementation quality and stability in production
environments. Starting in 2005, I began porting software to
the OS for use with SourceHosting.net and gradually became
more experienced with the development infrastructure. I am
happy to accept this privilege and look forward to advancing
the development and usage of FreeBSD," said Larkin.

to configure Subversion to do that automatically? -- D.F.
A: Subversion includes a feature to do exactly
what you want. After you commit your script, follow these
