SourceHosting.net has deployed its service as a series of VMware virtual machines. The company has also joined the VMware Technology Alliance Program.
SourceHosting.net issues the following VMware Support Statement:
SourceHosting.net, LLC confirms that we will support customers using our hosted software development tools service on supported Operating Systems in a VMware virtual machine environment.
SourceHosting.net, LLC will provide unqualified support for all SourceHosting.net hosted applications running in a VMware virtual environment in an identical manner as with SourceHosting.net hosted applications running on any other major x86 based systems without initially requiring reproduction of issues on native hardware. Should SourceHosting.net, LLC suspect that the virtualization layer is the root cause of an incident; the customer will be required to contact the appropriate VMware support provider to resolve the VMware issue.
While SourceHosting.net, LLC products are expected to function properly in a VMware virtual environment, there may be performance implications which can invalidate SourceHosting.net, LLC’s typical sizing and recommendations.
